Tour Plan
The tour guide meets you in the early afternoon at central Marrakech's prosperous Djemaa el-Fna district. Together, you head off on foot into the vibrant markets of the medina.
Soak in the beautiful sights on the busy streets, taking time to visit a minimum of five artisan stalls on your route. Your private guide will help you practice Arabic or French with the tradespeople and you will be able to snag a few exclusive deals.
You could sample some Moroccan silverware or beadwork at a local jeweler's shop. There are plenty of handcrafted bags, jackets, and slippers at many leather ware shops. You can also visit the carpet seller's shop to buy beautiful rugs.
Choose from a wide range of lamps at the lamp shops and exquisite silk scarves and caftans in women’s fashion shops. You can also get herbs and spices, and traditional argan oils at the herbalist's as well as furniture and kitchenware stores.
You do not want to miss the master potter doing his magic or artisans as they create souvenirs out of ordinary materials. Head down to the Dar el-Bacha district or a nearby cafe to cool off.
Note that large items will be delivered free to your hotel or riad in Marrakech.
